Commissioner Resigns
| I know what a lot of you were thinking, but nope,
it's not who you thought. 2nd district commissioner, Julia Hurley, who
moved out of her district nearly a year ago is still clinging to her
seat. In this case, it was a Loudon County Planning Commissioner. While not elected, planning commissioners are appointed to their seats by district. One of the 5th district planning commissioners recently moved from the 5th district into the 6th district. Since he moved from his appointed district into a different district, he resigned his seat. It is nice to see a government official do what's right. It's just unfortunate that all government officials aren't that way. Some are apparently more interested in their government paycheck and benefits than obeying the law and doing what's right. At least some government officials are honest. |
