Closer Maybe?
| If you've been on Simpson Road East lately, lots of marker flags
have been placed.
Not sure if that means anything, but there was also a public notice in
last weeks News Herald, see below, for Request For Qualifications for
engineers for the Simpson Road project. Not sure if that means it means Simpson Road will be fixed anytime soon but we can only hope. You may remember the dueling political signs back during the 2018 election, I think it was April, where Lenoir City councilman/Loudon County highway superintendent, Eddie Simpson, posted a rebuttal sign to his challenger that the Simpson Road "project had been funded and ongoing" for two years. Accordingly, that would now mean the "project had been funded and ongoing" for nearly three and a half now. Hopefully, it won't be another three and a half years before the road is fixed.
