Carny Shot
| On Sunday, May 12, the Loudon Lions Club was hosting
a carnival at the Loudon Municipal Park. At around 11:00 pm, it was
reported that a carnival worker had been shot. Apparently, two of the
carnival workers got into an altercation when one pulled a gun. The
assailant allegedly fired one shot into the ground before firing a
second shot striking the other man in the leg. The shooter was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The victim was taken to UT hospital with what was thought to be non life threatening injuries. |
