| In his second financial statement of this election
cycle, looks like Lenoir City mayor is still raking in the cash.
According to his statement, from 7/1/2024-9/30/2004, Aikens sucked in
another $27,125.00 in campaign contributions from 74 donors. Only 7 of
those donors actually live in Lenoir City and can vote for him. 47
donors live in the county, 20 live outside Loudon County and 2 live out
of state. Again, it seems there are far more people who don't have to
live under his rule that support him than do.
Aikens says he's spent $22,051.00 this reporting period. If you add together the two reporting periods, Aikens has taken in, $72,075 and spent $27,815.00. Guess we'll find out if money can buy an election. Previous Story. |
