Big Crowd
| Monday was the day for the biannual property tax
sale. This year's sale brought the largest crowd the sale has ever had.
Nearly 75 interested buyers were in attendance. The crowd was so big,
the sale had to be moved to a garage bay adjacent to the courtroom where
the sale was suppose to be held. Properties sold from just a few hundred dollars up to $71,000. I should have an updated list soon on the actual numbers from the sale. The tax sale is held every two years. The properties included are those that are more than three years delinquent on their property taxes. If you think the government isn't serious about getting their tax money? Just don't pay your taxes and this is what happens. |
