Loudon County government budget is more than one hundred million dollars per year now and the idea that in a full fiscal year, the comptroller's office, who performs the county's audit, didn't fine a single error that would be a finding is impressive. But to have managed that feat 7 out of the last 8 years is unprecedented.

Much credit has to go to all the elected officials and department heads handling all the daily paperwork. But the real department that makes it happen is the tight fisted county finance department headed up by Ms. Erin Rice.

This is a feat all the county can be proud of and shows the commitment the county has to doing it right.
