Assessment Appeals

Next month, The Loudon County Board of Equalization will begin its annual session to examine and equalize the county assessments. Any property owner may request a review of their assessment if they feel it doesn't reflect their property value. Beginning May 24th, property owners may contact the Loudon County Property Assessor's office to request an appeal.

NOTICE

Pursuant to Section 67-5-508, Tennessee Code Annotated, the property assessment records of Loudon County will be available for public inspection at Loudon County Courthouse Annex 101 Mulberry Street, Room 201, Loudon, TN 37774 during business hours 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. Any person desiring to inspect these records may do so at the appointed time and place. Upon request, the Property Record Card can be provided electronically.

The Loudon County Board of Equalization will begin its annual session to examine and equalize the county assessments on June 1st, 2024. Any person seeking an appeal must schedule starting May 24th, 2024, by calling 865-458-2059. The Loudon County Board of Equalization shall convene its regular session of June 1st, 2024, and remain in session as necessary to complete the board’s business, according to TCA 67-1-404.

The Board will conduct hearings in Room 201 Loudon County Courthouse Annex or by electronic means. Any owner of property who wishes to make a complaint or appeal to the County Board of Equalization must appear personally. Agent for the owner must submit owner’s written authorization. Failure to appear and appeal an assessment will result in the assessment becoming final without further right of appeal.
