DOMESTIC RELATED STABBING RESULTS IN ATTEMPTED FIRST-DEGREE MURDER CHARGE OF LOUDON COUNTY WOMAN

GREENBACK, TENNESSEE - Sheriff Tim Guider is rel...easing information on a stabbing that occurred in Greenback over the weekend. That stabbing, Guider says, led LCSO Detectives to charge the woman with attempted first-degree murder.

“At 2:55 am, on the morning of April 7, Loudon County E911 received a 911 call from a female advising there was a domestic situation occurring at their residence off of Highway 95 in Greenback. LCSO Deputies responded and arrived on scene at approximately 3:09 am, the same time a second 911 call was placed by a male subject at the same address reporting that he’d been stabbed by his wife”, Guider says.

“Deputies quickly located the involved female, identified as 42 year-old Leslie W. Myers, in a vehicle as she was attempting to leave the scene. Deputies were able to safely secure her without incident. Once inside the residence, our patrol deputies discovered a male, identified as 38 year-old Alan Myers, Jr., who had been stabbed multiple times and appeared to have lost a significant amount of blood. Deputies secured the scene and began administering first-aid to the male until Priority EMS Medics arrived on scene. The male victim was transported to the Trauma Unit at the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he underwent surgery. He is expected to survive, says Sheriff Guider.

“During the investigation, LCSO Detectives were able to gather the evidence needed to charge the female party with attempted first-degree murder.”

“This is just another example of the risks our patrol deputies face on a daily basis, the difference their training makes in saving lives, and the swift and thorough work of our criminal investigations division detectives that leads to the outcome that we see in a case like this”, said Sheriff Guider.

Leslie Myers is being held at the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center pending a $250,000.00 bond.
