Appointment Details
| Just wanted to make a little clarification on the
appointment of court clerk, Lisa Niles, to the office of Clerk & Master.
Many have asked why there was no public notice of the vacancy or no one
else was able to apply for the job. The office of Clerk & Master is not an elected position, it is appointed by the judge of the Chancery Court. The county commission has no involvement with filling that office. There are no requirements to make notice of the vacancy or appointment. Chancellor Frank Williams chose Ms. Niles for that position. This is why there was no actions to fill that position as there have been to fill Ms. Niles soon to be vacant position. |
