Several Loudon officials have stated they would not approve the industrial rezone. Residents in the area have opposed the annexation from the beginning and county commission has also sent a letter to city officials opposing the annexation.

The letter below, from the owner/developer asks that the requests be postponed until the February Loudon City planning commission meeting.
