News Herald Arrest Report
5 in Lenoir City
arrested in drug bust
Five Lenoir City residents were arrested June 24 after a drug bust by the 9th Judicial Drug Task Force. DTF agents found Randy Dean Dattilio, 65, Stacey Eugene Branson, 52, Kristian Nicole Hatcher, 34, James Martin Kennedy, 37, and Ginger Gail Neely, 53, at a residence on Turman Drive after executing a narcotics search warrant, DTF agent Cody Fritts wrote in a report.
In
the room Dattilio and Hatcher were occupying, agents found a
small purse on Dattilio’s bed containing a bag of 0.5 grams of
methamphetamine and a bag of 0.5 grams of heroin. Thirty-one
yellow capsules identified as gabapentin were found in one of
Dattilio’s shirt pockets hanging up in his room. Agents also
found multiples baggies, digital scales, meth pipes and
syringes, Fritts wrote in a report.
Branson and Neely were
found in a bedroom with a bottle on the dresser containing
3.5 grams of “white powder heroin/fentanyl, a bowl with 1
gram of orange powder heroin/fentanyl and 11 yellow capsules
identified as gabapentin,” Fritts wrote in a report. Agents
also found syringes, baggies, cut straws, a glass pipe and
two baggies of unidentified powder in the bedroom. Agents
found baggies, syringes and an “aluminum can bottom with
cotton filters” next to the recliner where Kennedy was
sleeping.
After transported to
the Loudon County Jail, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office
Deputy Brad McCall noticed what appeared to be drugs in the
transport van. DTF agent Branden DeBoer tested the
substances, which came back as positive for meth and
fentanyl.
“Agents watched the
in-car video, which showed Randy Dattilio remove the drugs
from his shorts and use both fentanyl and methamphetamine
while in the back of the van,” Fritts wrote in the report.
“He then passed both drugs to James Kennedy who also
ingested them both. Dattilio was then seen shoving the
capsule that contained the fentanyl into the seat of the
van. Kennedy is then seen throwing the bag of the
methamphetamine to the back of the van.”

jailed for potA Knoxville man was arrested June 24 on
drug charges after having drugs delivered to a Lenoir
City business.
DTF was contacted
when a suspicious package containing what was believed
to be narcotics was delivered to a business on West
Broadway. DTF agents April Farmer and Jamie Ketner found
four vacuum-sealed bags filled with marijuana and three
vacuum-sealed bags filled with THC wax, Farmer wrote in
a report.
The agents decided
to seal the box back up and place it outside the
business to see if anyone tried to pick it up. Shammond
Kefla Dave, 21, showed up a short time later and placed
the box in his SUV.
Dave was taken
into custody and LCSO Lt. Michael Watkins had his K-9
conduct a “free air search” around the vehicle, Farmer
wrote in a report.
The K-9 alerted on
the SUV and after a search agents found another postal
box in the back seat containing four more bags of
