3 Judges Qualify
Three candidates have now qualified to seek the office of Lenoir
City judge in the August election. Walter Johnson, Robin McNabb and
Porsche Shantz have filed their petitions with the election commission
and qualified to be on the ballot. Two candidates have also qualified to challenge incumbent 32nd District State Representative, Kent Calfee. One a democrat and one independent. It appears that both Calfee and Representative Jimmy Matlock will be unopposed in the August primary election but will face challengers in the November general election. Thursday, noon is the deadline for any candidates for any of the offices on the August ballot to qualify.
