2nd Case
| Loudon County had it's first case of the Chinese
Corona Virus reported last week. The information I received was that it
was a retired individual who lived off Hwy. 321 between the river and
the Blount County line. They had recently visited New York. The person
had self quarantined and is supposedly doing well.
The 2nd case just popped up on the Tennessee Department Of Health web site today. No one locally has any information on that case. Communication from state to local officials has been almost non existent when it comes to these reported cases. If they are aware, seems they could give us at least a minimal amount of information that we could pass on. Health officials predictions are that, 30% of the population is likely to be infected with the Chinese Corona Virus. Of that 30%, 80% will likely have mild to no symptoms, much like the common flu. There will me many more folks infected before this ends. |
