2 Year Anniversary
| Saturday the 24th, will mark the two year anniversary
of the courthouse fire. The stabilization and clean up phase are
complete. The actual rebuilding phase should begin soon.
To date, the insurance company has spent $2,819,324.00 on the reclamation of the building and all the other costs associated with the fire. According to the insurance company, they will pay for everything related to the fire with no limit. The rebuild process has been painfully slow and I suspect another two to three years before the project is complete. The outside steel structure will be removed when the work is done.
