Over the last few days, the political landscape for
the May 2022 primary election has changed.
Lenoir City police officer, Dennis Dino Guider,
announced that he was withdrawing from the sheriff's race.
This leaves Paul Curtis, Jimmy Davis and
Marty Ward in the sheriff's race.
In another countywide election, Rick Arp has announced
he will seek the office of Register Of Deeds.
Current Chief Deputy of the Register Of Deeds office,
Tammy Gallaher, had already announced that she would be running for that
office.
First District Commissioner, Kelly
Brewster has announced that she will not be seeking re-election and is
endorsing Loudon County School Board member, Brian Brown for her seat.
To my First
District Constituents, Friends, and Family;
Serving as your
County Commissioner for the past 7 years has been a
challenging and fulfilling job. I will forever be grateful
for the support and kind words I have received as your
commissioner.
My decision
comes after much prayer and thought, I will not be seeking
re-election as your First District County Commissioner Seat
A. I am blessed and grateful to have served district 1 and
to have achieved many goals for my constituents, but it is
time for a new chapter of public service.
I would like to
take this opportunity to ask all my constituents to support
a man with experience, Brian Brown, for District 1 seat A
Loudon County Commissioner. He has the acquired job
knowledge of budgets and community needs from his past
service as a Loudon County School Board member.
Brian is by far
the most qualified and experienced person for the job. Brian
is the one candidate who has the knowledge and skill to keep
Loudon County moving in the right direction, while still
being protective of tax payers dollars.
I ask you to
vote for Brian Brown as your District 1 Seat A Loudon County
Commissioner.
Thank you,
Kelly
Littleton-Brewster
District 1 Seat A County Commissioner
Brian Brown who
will vacate his school board seat at the end of the year due to the fact
he is moving from the fifth district to the first district, announced
that he will be running for commissioner Brewster's commission seat.
Hello Friends,
As you may remember when I concluded the
post regarding my school board resignation, I said as
one door closes, in due time, another will open….Well,
much sooner than I had expected, that door has opened.
Incumbent Commissioner, Kelly
Brewster, has decided not to run for re-election and
asked if I would consider running. So at this time, I
would like to announce my candidacy for 1st District
County Commission Seat A.
I am humbled to have the opportunity
to pursue this opportunity to continue serving my
community and ask for your support and most importantly,
your vote!
Brian Brown
The only other candidate who has announce
for that seat is Chase Randalph.
Lastly, Based on his participation in the Lenoir City
Christmas parade, former highway superintendent, Sean Giles, intends to
run for highway superintendent again.
Current assistant highway superintendent, Billy
Pickle, had already announced that he intends to seek the office.
Qualifying petitions for all the May primary positions
will be available later this month. After the first of the year, I'll
post a complete list of all things about next years election. |
