18 grams of marijuana found in traffic stop
Three Florida men are facing charges after they were
initially pulled over by Lenoir City Police Department.
Arriving to the scene of a traffic stop initiated by
LCPD, 9th Judicial Drug Task Force agents found a rental vehicle
driven by Victor Laron Brown was stopped and was subsequently given
a probable cause search due to a strong odor of marijuana coming
from inside.
“Agents also observed a plastic bag containing a
large amount of counterfeit $100 ... bills that was found in the
glove compartment of the rental car,” Brendan DeBoer, DTF agent,
wrote in a report. “Agents began searching the bags, contained
inside and found numerous gift cards or visa prepaid cards in stacks
in each of the three defendants bags in the vehicle.”
Counterfeit bills amounted to $7,700, according
to the report.
Others present inside the vehicle were Edwardo
Rozoma Norton and Marcelino Terueo Figuerora.
A concealed false compartment contained 18 grams
of marijuana.
Brown, 28, Tampa, Fla., was charged with simple
possession/casual exchange, manufacture, sell, delivery or
resale of a Schedule VI substance, criminal simulation and
driving on a revoked/suspended license and held on $108,000
bond.
Figueora, 21, Lakeland, Fla., was charged with
criminal simulation and released on $75,000 bond.
Norton, 30, Tampa, Fla., was charged with
criminal simulation and held on $75,000 bond.
April 2
• Corban Paul Nerge, 27, Lenoir City, was charged
with assisting other agency and released without bond.
April 3
• Michael Lee Anderson, 31, Loudon, was charged
with violation of probation and released on $2,000 bond.
• Derrick A. Byrge, 35, Wartburg, was charged
with manufacture, sell, delivery or resale of a Schedule II
substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and held on
$54,000 bond. Dispatched to a store off U.S. Highway 321 to a
man who left on foot with merchandise without paying and went to
a store nearby, Lenoir City Police Officer Shannon Runyan met
with loss prevention who pointed out the man on camera. Runyan
identified Byrge, and during a search for weapons in Byrge’s
backpack Runyan found two false compartments used to hide
narcotics, three black digital scales, a butane torch and
several miscellaneous drug paraphernalia items. During a search
of Byrge, Runyan also found a needle, a black bag containing
13.09 grams of methamphetamine and a glass pipe used to smoke
narcotics.
• Timothy Paul Fisher, 34, Oliver Springs, was
charged with assisting other agency and held without bond.
• Michael Allen Gaines, 30, Knoxville, was
charged with violation of probation and held on $2,000 bond.
• Jackie Darrell Gredig, 46, Maryville, was
charged with manufacture, sell, delivery or resale of a Schedule
II substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and assisting
other agency and held on $34,000 bond.
• Tenna Michele Hays, 43, Knoxville, was charged
with manufacture, sell, delivery or resale of a Schedule II
substance, assisting other agency, possession of drug
paraphernalia, driving on a revoked/suspended license and
possession of legend drugs and held on $41,500 bond.
• Priscilla Jolene Samuelson, 35, Clinton, was
charged with fugitive from justice and held without bond.
• Douglas Shane Sledge, 38, Sweetwater, was
charged with failure to appear and held without bond.
• Anita Lynn Wilson, 48, Philadelphia, was
charged with failure to appear and held without bond.
April 4
• Juan Manuel Almanza, 29, Lenoir City, was
charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and resisting
arrest and held on $5,000 bond. Dispatched to Church Drive
for a physical domestic, Lenoir City Police Officer Andrew
Lee met Almanza downstairs in a residence. Almanza claimed
he did not know why Lee was at the residence. A woman said
Almanza woke up from a nap agitated and began arguing with
her about his car keys. When the woman said she did not know
where the keys were, Almanza allegedly punched her in the
stomach. Four juvenile witnesses made verbal/written
statements. When told he was under arrest, Almanza failed to
comply with commands.
• Mike Anthony Crochet, 32, Maryville, was
charged with contempt of court and released on $300 bond.
• Derek Joe Littleton, 38, Lenoir City, was
charged with two counts of failure to appear and released on
$36,000 bond.
• Siara Nicole Owens, 20, Louisville, was
charged with simple possession/casual exchange and released
on $2,000 bond.
• Sarah Elizabeth Rogers, 33, Madisonville,
was charged with assisting other agency and released without
bond.
• Kingmen Ira Tuck, 37, Loudon, was charged
with theft of property and two counts of contempt of court
and held on $6,993.66 bond.
April 5
• Travass Adam Hill, 43, Lenoir City, was
charged with burglary of a vehicle and theft of property and
held on $6,000 bond.
• James Martin Kennedy, 35, Lenoir City, was
charged with violation of probation and criminal trespass
and released on $2,000 bond.
• Eric Joseph Luttenberger, 27, Madisonville,
was charged with failure to appear and released without
bond.
April 6
• Jason T. Langlois, 44, Lenoir City, was
charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and held
without bond.
• David Lee Queener, 41, Lenoir City, was
charged with violation of probation and held on $2,000
bond.
• Matthew Wayne Reynolds, 30, Clinton,
was charged with criminal trespass and released without
bond.
• April Joy Branch, 36, Lenoir City, was
charged with a Jefferson County warrant and released
without bond.
• Johnny H. Stroud,53, Greeneville, was
charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and
evading arrest and held on $6,000 bond.
April 7
• Thomas Edgar Fortune, 39, Philadelphia,
was charged with failure to appear and held without
bond.
• Vicente A. Gonzalez, 18, Loudon, was
charged with driving under the influence and released on
$3,000 bond.
• William Blake Morris, 25, Jacksboro,
was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and
held without bond.
April 8
• Cameron Olover Keyl, 35, Knoxville, was
charged with public intoxication and reckless
endangerment and held without bond. Responding to a
wreck with no injuries on Matlock Bend Road, LCSO
Deputies Steve Halcomb and JC Schultz met a man who said
Keyl was visiting his residence, had been drinking and
upon her departure crashed her 2011 Kia Sorento into the
front end of his 1997 BMW, crashing it into the house
and destroying a gas grill. Deputies found Keyl with the
vehicle running. She was sitting behind the wheel with
her 2-year-old daughter in the backseat. Keyl said she
had been drinking wine. She had bloodshot, watery eyes
and slurred speech and was arrested after deputies
determined she was a danger to herself, the public and
the complainant.
• Justin Alexander Lowery, 43, Lenoir
City, was charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and
released on $1,500 bond.
• Laura Jean Winckler, 47, Loudon, was
charged with manufacture, sell, delivery or resale of
Schedule IV substance, four counts of simple
possession/casual exchange, possession of drug
paraphernalia, possession of legend drugs and driving on
a revoked/suspended license and held on $17,000 bond.
Dispatched to Woodland Drive in Loudon for the call of
an unauthorized use of a vehicle, LCSO Deputy Charlie
Huskin identified the vehicle while talking to the
complainant and identified driver Winckler and a
passenger. Winckler consented to the search of vehicle
and her purse, where Huskin found 3.9 grams of
marijuana, a black case with “Happy Pills” on it
containing four phentermine pills, five Quetiapine
Fumarate pills, three Alprazolam pills, one
Buprenorphine pill, half of an unknown pill and 19
Diazepam pills. Winckler said she had prescriptions for
the pills and took law enforcement inside.
“Ms. Winckler showed deputies a clear
pink bag with several prescription bottles inside,”
Huskin wrote in the report. “Two plastic cards with
powder residue, two pipes commonly used to smoke
marijuana, a small grinder with marijuana residue, a cut
straw with orange residue and a purple bag with a metal
pipe with marijuana residue were found while
investigator Marty Stanley was comparing prescription
bottles to the medication already found in Ms.
Winckler’s purse.” Winckler could not produce a
prescription for the pills in her purse.
