I had the privilege of presenting Greenback Public School with the Anne Dallas Dudley Gold Award today for the third consecutive year! With the support of academic leadership from Principal Matthew Brookshire, Social Studies Teacher Casey Hicks, and History Teacher Kelley Blanton Davenport, student ambassadors Ivy Blair and Shay McDonell were able to encourage their peers to reach a 100% voter registration rate! GPS’ Senior Class President Austin Munsey, accepted the plaque on behalf of the school as members of the community like Mayor Dewayne Birchfield, Superintendent Mike Garren, School board Members Phil Moffett and Andy Disney, and Loudon County AOE Susan Harrison. With such strong support from so many people, I am confident these new voters will feel empowered to make their voice heard!
