Who can forget that most memorable quote from the Star Trek movie Wrath Of Khan? Right at the end when Khan thought he had one last shot to kill Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise. The similarities could not be missed at Monday's commission workshop.

After eight years on commission and attending her next to last meeting as a county commissioner, Nancy Marcus just couldn't help but take one last shot at opposing the idea of a new school for Greenback.

During the rather lengthy discussion of where to go now with the building program, most commissioners took an opportunity to weigh in with their opinions. To no one's surprise, when Ms. Marcus got her chance, she once again, and hopefully for the last time, mounted her soap box to rail against building a new school in Greenback. It was the same old bla-bla-bla, not enough kids, too much money and so on.

But you've got to give her credit. She has held true to her obsession to kill the Greenback school to the bitter end. Hopefully, her last "stab at thee" will fail just like Khan's and Greenback will survive.
