LENOIR CITY (WATE) - Lenoir City police say a woman was killed Wednesday night in a single vehicle crash.    

The accident happened just before 8:00 p.m. on I-75 near exit 81.

Officers say the woman was driving southbound when she hit the pillar of the Highway 321 bridge. They say a passer-by stopped and pulled the woman from the burning car, but she was already dead.    

Police will not release the victim's name until they notify her relatives.
