Woman jailed after man hit with crutch

A Lenoir City woman is facing a domestic assault charge after she and her son allegedly attacked a man.

Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Austin Parton and Kenny Palmer responded July 30 to a call on Jackson Ferry Road. Deputies met a woman who said Tiffany Dawn Wilkerson, 43, and Wilkerson’s son, whose name is unknown, came over to the residence and argued with a man.

“During the argument, Ms. Wilkerson and her son attacked (the man) and got him down on the porch,” Parton wrote in his report. “(The woman) stated that Ms. Wilkerson had a crutch in her hand that she was using as a weapon and her son had a golf club.”

Parton spoke to the man and noticed a gash on the left side of his head and blood on his face. When asked what happened, the man said he “didn’t know what I was referring to.” After calling emergency medical services to the scene, the man said Wilkerson and her son did nothing. He did not provide a written statement.

“I observed a golf club and broken crutch outside along with blood from (the man) on the porch,” Parton wrote in the report.
Wilkerson was jailed July 31, but her son has not been arrested.

Wilkerson was charged with domestic assault-felony and held on $7,500 bond.
