LOUDON (WATE) - The Loudon County Sheriff's Office has identified a woman found walking along Interstate 75 Wednesday morning.

The woman, whose name has not been released, is from Bradley County and is now getting help at a mental health facility.

The woman wasn't able to tell deputies her name, but it turns out once the sheriff's department released her photo asking for help, one of their own deputies stepping in and recognized her.

Deputies say the woman is mentally ill and had stopped taking her medicine.

The officer recognized her from an incident last year in which she also was off her medicine.
