A Lenoir City woman who has admitted stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from several employers over the past decade is back in trouble with the law.

Kimberley Michelle Thomas, 44, was arrested earlier this week by the Loudon County Sheriff's Office and charged with theft over $10,000.

Her former employer, Walt Williams Inc., has accused Thomas of embezzling $16,000 in November. Investigators say the total missing over the past year could surpass $100,000.

"We are still investigating this case and there may be more charges," said Lt. Patrick Upton with the LCSO.

Investigators said that the latest incident is part of a pattern that began long ago. Upton confirmed that Thomas is on probation until 2014 for stealing from a Knox County business.

Upton said Thomas admitted stealing the money from Williams after being confronted with the evidence. Bank records showed she spent most of the money on entertainment, clothing and dining.

"She says she has a problem, but she really is the type who tries to con everyone she meets," he said.
