Woman charged after damaging vehicle

A Harriman woman has been charged after more than $1,000 of damage was done to a former boyfriend’s vehicle.

The man arrived Nov. 26 at work, parked his vehicle and entered the business. Twenty minutes after arriving, 9th Judicial District Agent Cortney Dugger saw a woman vandalize the man’s vehicle. The woman then left in a gold vehicle.

Dugger was able to provide the tag number of the vehicle and the registration came back to a different individual.
The man’s vehicle had a broken windshield, broken windshield wipers, a punctured tire, damage to the front passenger window and glass from the windshield was found inside. The man estimated repair costs at more $1,000 but less than $2,500. He told deputies the damage was not present when he arrived at work.

The man said Mindy Marie Davidson, 30, drives the car owned by the other individual. Dugger identified Davidson as the woman who vandalized the vehicle.

Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Inv. Jason Smith contacted Davidson by phone Nov. 28. In the recorded call, Davidson said the man had cheated on her while they were dating and that’s why she vandalized his vehicle.

Davidson was charged with vandalism Nov. 29 and released on $2,500 bond.

Lenoir City woman charged

A Lenoir City woman was charged Nov. 28 after a family in Tellico Village alleged fraud and filed a report in September with LCSO.

A daughter of a couple who owns a home in the community signed a contract June 28 with Town Creek Construction Group for repairs and remodel. As a down payment, $4,834.20 was paid to the company, according to an affidavit from LCSO.

After an extended period of time when only two boards were placed in the home’s crawl space, the family contacted the company to request a refund and cancel the contract.

Nikki Nicole Watkins, 35, manager of operations for Town Creek, was contacted by certified mail, phone and email to request a refund, according to reports. No refund was provided after several weeks.

Watkins was charged with fraud by home improvement services provided and released on $10,000 bond.
