With all early votes totaled and all absentee ballots counted through Saturday, Loudon County voters have broken all records when it comes to early voting. Nearly 52% of the 31,204 registered Loudon County voters took advantage of the convenience of early voting.

In the last presidential election in 2004, 41% or 11,066 of voters voted early with a total vote of 19,966. In comparison, the August 2008 county general/state primary election saw only 6,337 total vote turnout.

It will be interesting to see the final totals.
