Unhook It
| With winter time here, just wanted to remind folks to unhook those
water hoses from the outside spigots. Likely, your home has frost proof
spigots, meaning they are designed not to freeze but that only works if
the water hose is not connected to the spigot. Leaving the
hose hooked up keeps water in the line which will freeze and rupture the
water line. If you find that your outside spigots are not frost proof, you still need to unhook the hose and you might want to pick up some faucet covers to protect them from freezing. Bundle up, it's going to get cold.
