Update: Fiery wreck kills two on _I-40 in Loudon County
A man and woman died Saturday morning in a fiery crash on Interstate
40 West in Loudon County, authorities said. The wreck happened just
after 1 a.m. near mile marker 369 when a westbound Ford F250 pickup
driven by Thomas Kenn Lowery, 44, of Pensacola, Fla., tried to move from
the center lane into the right lane, according to the Tennessee Highway
Patrol.
The pickup rear-ended a Saturn Ion driven by William Darwin Brown, 44,
of Magnolia, Texas. Both vehicles spun out of control, authorities said.
The car crossed all three lanes, wrecked and burst into flames, killing
Brown and a passenger, Barbara Mae Taylor, 39, of Tomball, Texas,
according to the THP. Another passenger, Lonnie R. Dunn, 28, of
Tuscaloosa, Ala., was injured. He wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The pickup ran off the right side of the road and came to rest on some
grass, injuring Lowery, who wasn't wearing a seat belt.
Lowery and Dunn's conditions weren't available Saturday night.
Charges against Lowery are pending, according to the THP.

righthand lane, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The pickup rear-ended a Saturn, and both vehicles spun out of control,
authorities said.
The car crossed all three lanes, ran off the road and burst into flames,
killing two people inside, according to the THP.
The pickup ran off the right side of the road and came to rest on some
grass.
No names or conditions have been released.
