Triple Threat 6

All You Need To Know In One Picture

At the Lenoir City early voting location, you can see all you need to know at one time. The triple threat, my opponent, Lenoir City councilman Eddie Simpson, Mark Matlock and Julia Hurley are all set up together. Just one big happy family.

I try to get down at least once a day to check my sign and truck to be sure the ropes are still tight, but as I told you before, I don't hang out at early voting like some do. I figure that most folks who get there to vote know who they want to vote for and probably don't want to be harassed by a bunch of politicians. I watched the other day when I went by, Simpson chasing cars up and down the street like a rabid dog hollering, don't forget me, don't forget me. It struck me, I should probably be down there hollering the same thing, "Don't forget Eddie Simpson and all the tax increases he's voted for, don't forget Eddie Simpson and all the mass over development he's voted for".

Eddie Simpson, who is still the highway superintendent, seems to be down there almost all day, every day. Given that his staff and crew actually do all the work, I guess he has nothing else to do, and at his $105,000.00 salary. He makes about $50 an hour from the tax payers while he sits there.

Not a bad gig.
