“Upon searching the vehicle, officers found nine vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana weighing approximately 10 pounds inside of a suitcase,” Cody Fritts, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office deputy, wrote in a report. “Officers also found a syringe, marijuana blunts, a bag of marijuana and three bags of fentanyl (1.7 grams) in the vehicle.”

Kentucky man jailed

A Franklin, Ky., man is facing drug charges after officers responded Thursday to a wreck in Lenoir City.

Lenoir City Police Officer Jamie Ketner was notified of a vehicle wreck “in the middle of the road at Highway 321/I-40.” When he arrived, he noticed the front left tire was off the vehicle and met Ollie B. Eutsey, 57, and a female passenger. While speaking with the two, Ketner smelled a “strong odor of marijuana” and ran identifications for Eutsey and the female through dispatch.

“Dispatch advised me that Mr. Eutsey had an active warrant out of Kentucky and that they would extradite him,” Ketner wrote in a report. “A search of the vehicle was conducted. Approximately .5 grams of cocaine and 253 grams of marijuana was located in Mr. Eutsey’s luggage. The cocaine was located in Mr. Eutsey’s prescription pill bottle.”
Eutsey was charged with manufacture, sell, delivery, resale of a Schedule IV substance and simple possession/casual exchange and held without bond.
