Loudon County had sought to perform building inspections in areas of Loudon County formerly held by TRDA when TRDA filed suit to prevent Loudon County from performing those inspections. County Mayor and TRDA board member, Doyle Arp, has consistently supported TRDA in it's on going effort to keep Loudon County officials from exercising their jurisdictional authority.

The trial lasted about two hours. Judge Simmons told the attorneys and principals on each side that he would take all arguments into consideration and render a written judgment at a later date.
