| Here's an update on the three developments within
feet or a mile of each other. These are three of the developments that
some said would never happen. Well, they're happening in a big way. This is just 500 of the thousands of residential units approved in the city. First, the 166 rental units at Hwy. 321 and Hwy 70, called Villas At 321, just across the street from Eatons and North Middle schools. Note how many units do not have any street access, three deep in the corners. One single entrance on Hwy 321 for all 166 units. You have to question the sanity of city officials that would allow this disastrous development with no infrastructure improvements and no plans to accommodate it. Why would Lenoir City mayor, Tony Aikens, want this urban blight in the city? Just why?
276 Apartment Update Next, the 276 apartments beside food city. Obviously, the construction is in overdrive. Can you just imagine the traffic that's coming with this mess? Maybe 500 more cars in the traffic mix around all the Food City intersections. You have to question the sanity of city officials that would allow this disastrous development with no infrastructure improvements and no plans to accommodate it. Why would Lenoir City mayor, Tony Aikens, want this urban blight in the city? Just why?
DR Horton Update
The DR Horton, 60 single family homes, development continues even though they are in violation of county road standards that prohibit this development from connection to that road. Legal action may be coming. You have to question the sanity of city officials that would allow this disastrous development with no infrastructure improvements and no plans to accommodate it.
