According to Lenoir City police, the more than two dozen vandalized vehicles were mostly those parked on the street in the west side of town.
Police believe the tire slashings began sometime near midnight, although calls didn't begin coming into the Lenoir City Police Department until approximately 6:30 a.m.
"The victims started discovering (the tire slashings) this morning when they were going to work," said Investigator Jack Fine.
Fine said he's never seen vandalism this widespread in Lenoir City before.
Police currently have no suspects and can't yet determine a possible motive for the crimes.
"Someone was having a good time or thought they were, but this is going to be very expensive for people to fix," Fine said.
