Tim Brewster Resigns

Loudon City councilman, Tim Brewster, has resigned his council seat.

Loudon City attorney, Kris Frye, read Brewster's letter of resignation to the full council at Monday night's meeting. The statement read in part, It has been an honor to serve the citizens of Loudon but due to personal illness, he felt he should resign effective immediately. Brewster was not at the meeting.

Frye informed council that would need to vote to accept the resignation and declare the seat vacant which they did.  Council will have twenty days to fill the vacant position. They will take up the matter at their next workshop on September 13th and hold a special called meeting at the end of the workshop to appoint someone to fill the position. The appointment will be till November 2022.
