Tellico Plains father, son attack man

A father and son from Tellico Plains are facing assault and burglary charges after they allegedly beat a man in his residence.

Lenoir City Police Officer Jamie Pistole Jr. was dispatched Aug. 17 to a house on West 1st Avenue. Pistole reported that a man said he had been in a “domestic disturbance” with a woman and had left an address on Oakwood Drive to come to the 1st Avenue residence to “let things settle down.”

“(The man) stated that he was in the back bedroom of this friend’s house when Marvin Parker Jr. and Marvin Parker III came barging into the room and ... began hitting him in the face,” Pistole wrote in a report.

Pistole saw the man’s bloodied face. The man said the father and son were called by the woman involved in the earlier disturbance.

Both men were arrested Friday.
