Teens found consuming
alcohol, using pot
Two teens are facing charges for consuming alcohol and using
marijuana and one teen had allegedly provided alcohol and/or drugs
to other minors, some as young as 16 years old.
Responding to a city of Loudon residence where minors were allegedly
drinking alcohol and using marijuana, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office
Deputy Matt Fagiana wrote in his report that deputies were met by
Devanta Bell Mader, 19, who lived at the residence and had allegedly
previously supplied alcohol to minors one week earlier. Mader
admitted to having consumed alcohol.
“Offender No. 1 (Mader) then asked to be able to go back inside
his residence and get some clothes since he was in his boxers prior
to being taken to intake,” Fagiana said. “... Several more underage
minors were found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage
and or marijuana, and admitted to the use of those.”
Another minor, Ryan Paul Peterson, 18, of Knoxville, handed over
about 4-6 grams of marijuana, a grinder with marijuana residue
inside and a pipe, Fagiana said.
“Mader was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a
minor after it was determined that this was the second known ‘party’
that he had thrown within a week where underage minors, some as
(young) as 16 years of age, were given alcohol and/or drugs,”
Fagiana said.
Mader was charged with underage consumption and contributing to
