Knoxville, Tennessee: Shoney’s of Knoxville, Inc., an employee-owned and operated franchise of Shoney’s Restaurants, announces that the location at 1100 Highway 321, Lenoir City, Tennessee is undergoing renovations, which will begin on Monday, October 4, 2021. Consequently, the location will be temporarily closed while the upgrades are taking place. The renovations are expected to last approximately 8-10 weeks. During renovations, guests are invited to visit one of these nearby locations.

• Harriman, 1809 S. Roane Street, Harriman, TN 37748, 865-882-9888

• Oak Ridge, 204 S. Illinois Avenue, Oak Ridge, TN 37830, 865483-1324
• Maryville, 1021 W. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37801, 865-977-4412

Roy Leslie, President& CEO of Shoney’s of Knoxville, Inc. states, “We have wanted to upgrade this location for some time. As an employee-owned company, we are very careful with our planning. We delayed this project for about two years, so now is the time!

We are thrilled to start that process and look forward to showing off the new image to our loyal Shoney’s guests and to introducing our Fresh Food Bar to new guests. We believe the modern design – a blend of Mountain Lodge meets Farmhouse style – will appeal to a wide variety of age groups, but especially to the surrounding Loudon County families. While going through renovations, we invite our guests to dine at one of our other 17 locations in nearby surrounding counties.”

Shoney’s at Lenoir City will look very much like the renovated locations in Oak Ridge, Chapman Highway in Knoxville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. A date for the Grand Re-Opening will be announced in coming weeks.
