Shockley,
Linda M. Pettey - age 60 of Lenoir City, passed away Friday, August 31,
2007. She was a member of Martel Methodist Church and attended Highland
Park Baptist Church. Linda was Deputy Trustee in Loudon Co. where she
worked for over 21 years and was a member of the Loudon Co. GOP Women’s
Organization. Preceded in death by mother and father, Margaret and
Burton Pettey and brother-in-law, Bill Thompson. Survived by her
husband of 17 years, Kenneth Shockley; children, Christopher Barbour and
wife, Tammie, Jason Barbour and wife, Lavonne, Becky Fritts and husband,
Brian all of Lenoir City; stepchildren, Kenny Shockley of Mary Esther,
FL, Christie Frye and husband, Louie of Maryville, Chuck Shockley and
wife, Patty of Virginia Beach, VA, Wendy Shockley of Ft. Walton, FL, Joy
Farmer and husband, Jeff of Morristown, Donnie Shockley and wife, Jaime
and Katie Shockley all of Knoxville; grandchildren: Ashton Barbour,
Rileigh Barbour, Jordan Barbour, Connor Barbour, Brianna Fritts, Madison
Fritts all of Lenoir City; step grandchildren: Lorrie and Duane Hill,
Penny and Tony Jones, Stacey and Mike Gumm of Walland, J. T. Shockley of
Virginia Beach, VA, Kendra Davis and Kasady Willard both of Ft. Walton
Beach Beach, FL, Grant, Jessica and Olivia Farmer of Morristown and
Emma Shockley of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Eric, Ryan, Megan,
Brady, Parker Hill, Tanner, Brant and Cooper Jones, Kobey and Adrian
Gumm; sisters, Marty Snellgrove and husband, David of Batesville, MS,
Ann Presley and husband, Bobby of Lenoir City; several nieces and
nephews; best friends, Estelle Herron and Doyle Arp. The family will
receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Park Baptist
Church with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Rev. Eddie Click and
Rev. Mark Carr will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the
funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and proceed to Loudon Co. Memorial
Gardens for 11 a.m. graveside services. Serving as pallbearers: Tony
Arden, Tim Guider, Tony Aikens, Brian Fritts, Vonnie Myers and Jason
Barbour. Honorary pallbearers, Doyle Arp, Riley Wampler and Buddy
White. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Loudon Co.
