Shaw Ferry Fix Getting Closer
| Loudon County Commission is slated to vote to accept
the terms of the Tennessee Department Of Transportation contract to
begin the upgrades at the Shaw Ferry and Hwy. 11 intersection. The
agreement which is actually just a standard contract used any time the
state takes on a road project which includes county roads.
The contract asks the county to be responsible for certain aspects of the project with some right of ways and easements. The county will also agree to maintain the county portion of the improvements after the project is completed. Commission is expected to accept the contract at it's special called meeting on June 29th. |
