Sales Tax Hike Notice

Oh the hypocrisy, oh the irony. While Lenoir City mayor, Tony Aikens and his county commission candidate Marty Fugate, continue to rail on the county budget process that changes the city property tax rate every year and how terrible that is, Aikens is pushing a huge sales tax increase that will cost Lenoir City residents way more than four or five dollars per year the county budget costs.

Not only does the sales tax hike increase hit all city residents, it hits everybody that buys anything in the city. Aikens loves to raise taxes and with this one, he gets to stick it to even more people than he did with the Rain Tax gets.

Don't listen to what politicians say, watch what they do.

Below is the public notice of the upcoming Lenoir City sales tax increase special election, estimated cost for the special election, $20,000.00.

Tax and Spend, Tax and Spend.

Nothing changes in Lenoir City until something changes in Lenoir City.
