Rules & Regs

If you are a member of ORNL Credit Union, as we are, you've become accustom to silly rules and regulations. Just a few years ago, a policy prohibiting legal gun permit holders from carrying a weapon into the facility was adopted. Said it was for my own protection. Shortly there after, they came up with the "no hat" rule.

Now for more than a year, they have had a policy that requires a mask be worn when entering the facility. Not sure how the no hat rule works with the mask rule.

Loudon County has never had a mask mandate. The governor of the state has now removed all the COVID restrictions across the state but ORNL still has their mask signs up. They encourage everyone to use their drive thru but the new drive thru is all but useless for anything more complex than deposition a check. Enough already.

It's painfully obvious the ORNL upper management is apparently staffed by a bunch of left wingers given all their rules and regs.

We've all been patient and tolerated their silly rules long enough. It's time for ORNL to open the doors to normal humans.

I sent them a letter of objection last week. Haven't heard anything back, don't expect to. Below is a link to contact them if you want. Also my letter to them. Maybe if enough folks contact them, they'll wake up and follow the science, as we're always told to do.

To whomever,

Tennessee's governor just announced the end of all pandemic measures in the state stating, "COVID-19 no longer public health crisis in Tennessee".

Tennessee nor Loudon County has ever had a mask mandate, yet your facilities have and continue to require masks to enter.

Your customers have had to tolerate your ridiculous mask mandate for more than a year now. It's time to end the madness.

If people want to wear masks, so be it. If you want to demand your employees wear masks, so be it. But to continue this mandate on in person banking now is ridiculous.

You have our money in your bank but refuse to allow us to make in person transactions, without masks, based on what?

Please don't tell me about your drive thru service, it's utterly useless and nearly unusable except for the simplest transactions.

Please forward this request to those who make the rules.

It's well past time to allow your customers the benefits of personal service without silly mask mandates.
