Round 2
| Round 2 of the 2010 election process is now underway.
Candidates for the 2010 school board and state elections can now pick up
qualifying petitions. Candidates have until April 1st, 2010 12 noon to
file their petitions with the election commission. This election will be
August 5th. The even number district school board seats, 2nd, 4th and 6th, will be on the August ballot. Second district school board member, Larry Proaps, has already announced that he will not seek reelection. The other second district member, Bobby Johnson Jr., will run again. Forth district board member, Leroy Tate has made no public announcement as of yet. Sixth district member, Steve Harrelson, is running for county commission which will leave his school board seat vacant. |
