Robbery suspects nabbed after driving recklessly on I-40
wbir.com-Two men are facing charges after Knoxville Police say they robbed two people at knife point Thursday night. Investigators say a man and woman were walking to their car in the Bailey's Sports Grill parking lot when a gray Hummer pulled up to them. Two men got out of the Hummer and demanded the woman's wallet before taking off. Approximately 12 minutes later, a 911 call reported a gray Hummer driving recklessly on I-40 near West Hills. Officers pulled the truck over on Western Avenue at 1-640. The victim's credit cards and a knife were found in the vehicle. Jason Lamar Waldrop, 36, of Lenoir City is charged with Aggravated Robbery, Attempted Aggravated Robbery, Possession Schedule VI (Marijuana), DUI, Implied Consent, and No Proof of Insurance. Timothy Rutherford, 27, of Knoxville is charged with Aggravated Robbery, Attempted Aggravated Robbery, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. |
