leads to charges
A Lenoir City man was taken to Loudon
County Jail after deputies responded to a call of an assault with a
weapon along U.S. Highway 321.
Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy
Craig Brewer learned that a man had come to a residence in the 9300
block of Highway 321 to repossess a vehicle that belongs to the
girlfriend of Erskine Andy Hunt, 35, Lenoir City.
While talking to witnesses on the
scene, Brewer found that Hunt had gotten into an argument with
the man over the vehicle.
“According to witnesses, Mr. Hunt
came out of the residence with a hatchet in hand threatening
(the man),” Brewer wrote in the police report. “According to
them, Mr. Hunt then got a knife and while arguing made lunging
motions toward (the man) putting him (in) fear.”
A knife was found in the driver’s
floorboard of the vehicle, and the hatchet was found in the
passenger seat.
Hunt was charged with aggravated
assault and held on $15,000 bond.
Lenoir City man nabbed on
drugs
A routine speeding stop on U.S.
Highway 321 led to the arrest of a Lenoir City man for
possession of marijuana.
Seeing a red Ford Explorer going
58 in a 40 mph zone, Lenoir City Police Officer Jason Arden
pulled over the driver, Miguel A. Quintana-Rodriguez, 24, Lenoir
City, who smelled of marijuana, according to Arden’s report.
Arden asked Quintana-Rodriguez if
he had marijuana in the vehicle, and the driver said he did not,
but Quintana-Rodriguez did say that he had smoked the drug
earlier in the day.
Quintana-Rodriguez was asked to
step out of the SUV, and as he approached the patrol car, the
man said, “I’ll be honest with you, there is marijuana in the
truck,” according to Arden’s report.
The man told police that he had about 4 ounces of
marijuana between the console and the passenger floorboard of
the vehicle. After obtaining consent to search the vehicle,
police found a one gallon bag that contained five separate, 1
ounce bags of a leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
Quintana-Rodriguez was charged with the
manufacture/sell/possession of a controlled substance and
released on $5,000 bond.
- Bobbie Marie Bailey, 31,
Etowa, was charged with failure to appear-municipal court
and released on $2,000 bond.
- Peggy Sue Davis, 35, Lenoir
City, was charged with theft over $500 and two counts of
possession of a Schedule II substance and held without bond.
Responding to a call of a shoplifter at a retail store, LCPD
Officer Brandon Gentry spoke with a loss prevention
employee, who said a shopper, Davis, attempted to move a
cart of merchandise out the door without paying for the
items. After escorting Davis into a store office, Gentry
searched her purse and found additional items that belonged
to the store. During a search at Loudon County Jail, police
also found a plastic wrapper in her bra that contained four
pills that police identified as oxymorphone and oxycodone.
- Robert Marshall Arden, 29,
Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation and
held without bond.
- Jodi Lea Branum, 28,
Knoxville, was charged with contempt of court and held on
$150 bond.
- Jeffery Frank Donahoo, 53,
homeless, was charged with driving under the influence and
cite-in and released on $6,000 bond.
- Marcella Marie Forrester,
24, and Bryon Cody Copeland, 23, both of Harriman, were
charged with theft of property and released on $2,000 bond
each. Dispatched to a call of a possible shoplifter at a
retail store, police spoke with loss prevention personnel,
who said a woman and man entered the store with what
appeared to be empty diaper bags. Witnesses told police they
saw the woman, Forrester, and the man, Copeland, put
multiple items, including makeup, men’s clothes, socks and
four children’s shoes into the bags. The value of the items
totaled $210.84.

Byrdstown, was charged with violation of probation and held
on $5,000 bond.
- Shane Alan Price, 25,
Greenback, was charged with failure to appear on a revoked
license and held on $2,000 bond.

Loudon, was charged with theft of property and released on
$1,000 bond.
- Billy Franklin Walker, 62,
Knoxville, was charged with violation of probation and held
without bond.
- Jeremiah Andrew Whitehurst,
23, Lenoir City, was charged with failure to appear-general
sessions and released on $2,000 bond.
- Courtney Darlene Brown, 29,
Philadelphia, was charged with violation of probation and
held on $1,000 bond.
- Jessica Marie Crowder, 31,
Philadelphia, was charged with three counts of forgery, two
counts of theft under $500 and theft of property and held
without bond.
- Adam Evan Evans, 24,
Madisonville, was charged with violation of probation and
released on $2,500 bond.
- Brittani Lauren Flint, 25,
Seymour, was charged with convicted serving time and
violation of probation and held without bond.
- Victoria Ann Hippo, 30,
Athens, was charged with failure to appear-general sessions
and held on $4,000 bond.
- Kenneth Heath McElhaney, 36,
Rockwood, was charged with theft under $500 and held without
bond.
- Sonia L. Russell, 46,
Loudon, was charged with violation of probation and held
without bond.
- Timothy Chad West, 29,
Loudon, was charged with failure to appear on a revoked
license, aggravated burglary and theft of property and held
on $7,000 bond.
- Justin Palmer Blevins, 27,
Loudon, was charged with public intoxication and released
without bond. Responding to a call of a disturbance in the
300 block of Avery Street, LCSO Sgt. Jerramie Brown arrived
to find the passenger door open on a purple Ford Ranger, and
he saw two people in the vehicle. Brown spoke with the
driver, Britney Russell, who was arrested for driving under
the influence. Police then spoke with the passenger,
Blevins, who displayed signs of intoxication, “was very
unsteady on his feet and kept vomiting when we had him step
out of the truck,” according to Brown.

Philadelphia, was charged with driving under the influence
and cite-in and released without bond.
- Terry Stanley Phillips, 73,
Lenoir City, was charged with criminal court capias and held
on $10,000 bond.
- Daniel Joseph Roberts, 27,
Maryville, was charged with failure to appear-general
sessions and held on $2,000 bond.
Four nabbed for possession of
drugs, paraphernalia
A traffic assist Friday along Interstate 75 South
led to the arrest of four Kentucky residents on drug possession
and paraphernalia charges.
Responding to a call of a disabled vehicle about
4:10 p.m. near mile marker 68, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office
Deputy Chris Jenkins saw two people standing outside and two
others in the back of the vehicle, with the hood up on the car.
Jenkins spoke with the owner of the vehicle,
Gerald Henry Allen, 53, Berea, Ky., who said the car had
stopped running, and he needed a wrecker. During the traffic
assist, Jenkins asked Allen for verbal consent to search the
vehicle, and Allen agreed, according to the arrest report.
A K-9 dog gave a positive identification to
illegal narcotics at the passenger side door, in the front
center console and inside a gray backpack. While conducting
a search of the vehicle, police found a pack of rolling
papers and a plastic bag containing a substance believed to
be marijuana under the cup holders and gear shift. Police
also located a “large glass bowl” used to smoke marijuana
and a Newport cigarette pack containing a plastic bag with
marijuana inside the backpack, according to Jenkins’ report.
Police collected 22.2 grams of marijuana, and
all occupants in the vehicle were identified and detained,
according to the arrest report.
Jenkins said none of the people in the car
claimed ownership of the backpack or the marijuana found in
the center console.
Allen was charged with the
manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule VI substance
and possession of drug paraphernalia and held on $25,000
bond.
Kyle Edward Bowman, 32, Berea, Ky., was
charged with the manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a
Schedule VI substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
and held on $25,000 bond.
Jeffrey Scott Ethridge, 25, Richmond, Ky., was
charged with the manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a
Schedule VI substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
and held on $25,000 bond.
Rebekah Susanne Lafever, 27, Richmond, Ky.,
was charged with the manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a
Schedule VI substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
and held on $25,000 bond.
Loudon woman faces charges
A reckless driver traffic stop led to the
arrest over the weekend of a Loudon woman, who allegedly
concealed numerous illegal narcotics at Loudon County Jail.
Responding to a call at Highways 321 and 11,
Lenoir City Police Officer Jamie Whitt saw a driver pull
into a parking lot. The driver, Natalie Anne Walden, 36,
Loudon, told police that she did not have her license and
that her name was Crystal Byrd. A check through dispatch
revealed that her name was not on file, and she provided
police with Social Security number that did not belong to
her, according to Whitt’s report. She then told police her
real name.
Police also found that her license was
revoked, and she did not have insurance.
Walden was patted down for illegal items on
the scene, Whitt wrote. After being transported to Loudon
County Jail, police found 13 capsules believed to be 300 mg
gabapentin pills on her and four white capsules believed to
be Celebrex. Police also found Celebrex in the back seat of
her vehicle, according to Whitt. Her purse contained a
“yellow totem pole” believed to be 2 mg Xanax and five
orange pills believed to be 0.5 mg alprazolan, Whitt wrote.
Walden was charged with criminal
impersonation, driving on a revoked/suspended license, two
counts of possession of legend drugs, two counts of simple
possession/casual exchange, tampering/fabricating with
evidence and bringing contraband into a penal institution
and released on $19,000 bond.
- Shannon Nicole Cantrell, 34, Knoxville,
was charged with violation of probation on driving under
the influence and held on $4,000 bond.
- Aaron Jacob Thomas, 23, Lenoir City, was
charged with theft over $1,000 and released on $5,000
bond. An owner of a local pizza chain told police that
Thomas, along with another man, worked at the restaurant
from Sept. 8, 2014-July 12, 2015. During this period,
Thomas had a shortage of $1,242.54 on his cash register,
according to the restaurant owner, and police charged
Thomas with taking the money.
- Justin Andrew Bullard, 29, Lenoir City,
was charged with violation of community corrections and
held without bond.
- Jessie Marie Desola, 22, Lenoir City, was
charged with theft of property and failure to appear on
possession of drug paraphernalia and held on $10,000
bond.
- Oscar Rene Diaz, 37, Lenoir City, was
charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and
violation of probation and released on $2,000 bond.
- Matthew Jordan Henderson, 27, Loudon, was
charged with four counts of capias for worthless checks
and released on $11,000 bond.
- Atiya Jahnae Lloyd, 19, Knoxville, was
charged with possession of a Schedule III substance and
released on $1,000 bond. After stopping a vehicle for a
traffic violation, police found that Lloyd was in
possession of an unlabeled bottle containing Schedule
III narcotics, according to the arrest report.
- Octavio Martinez-Prieto, 53, Loudon, was
charged with driving on a revoked license and released
without bond.
- Jacob Tyler Miller, 19, Knoxville, was
charged with two counts of failure to appear and held
without bond.
- Melinda Denise Moses, 43, Sweetwater, was
charged with theft under $500 and held on $2,000 bond.
- George Lynn Purdy, 47, Lenoir City, was
charged with a burning violation and released on $1,000
bond.
- Samuel Paul Russell, 23, Lenoir City, was
charged with driving on a revoked license and child
support and held on $1,000 bond.
- Jessika Darlene Wilson, 26, Lenoir City,
was charged with domestic assault and released on $1,000
bond.
- Daniel Hayden Boone, 20, Kingston, was
charged with underage driving while intoxicated and
released on $2,000 bond.
- Jose Luis Cortes, 18, Lenoir City, was
charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and simple
possession/casual exchange and released on $2,000 bond.
Pulling over a vehicle for failing to obey a stop sign,
police asked the driver, Cortes, if he had anything
illegal in the car. Cortes said, “No,” multiple times,
according to the arrest report. Police found 1.5 grams
of marijuana, a pipe, rolling papers, a “large smoking
device” and two containers of marijuana seeds.
- Jeffrey James Dorsey, 34, Louisville, was
charged with simple possession/casual exchange and
public intoxication and held on $4,000 bond.
- Katherine Longmire Johnson, 36,
Knoxville, was charged with violation of
probation-second offense and held on $2,000 bond.
- Bobby Lee Littleton, 35, Loudon, was
charged with contempt of court, violation of probation
and violation of probation-municipal court and held
without bond.
- Nicholas Chad Phillips, 35, Maryville,
was charged with driving under the influence, violation
of implied consent and simple possession/casual exchange
and held on $4,500 bond. Dispatched to a call of a
reckless driver heading northbound on Interstate 75,
police saw a black Ford Ranger pull into the Lenoir City
Police Department parking lot along U.S. Highway 321,
and upon spotting an officer, the driver turned left and
drove toward a rental business, according to the arrest
report. While talking to the driver, Phillips, police
noticed that the driver displayed signs of intoxication,
and the man performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
Phillips did not consent to a blood draw, according to
the report. A small black bottle with 12 pills and two
other half pills were found next to the console,
according to police.

charged with failure to appear-general sessions and held
without bond.
- Reynaldo Gutierrez-Zamora, 49, Lenoir
City, was charged with driving under the influence and
held on $1,000 bond.
- Jose Luis Tapia-Rios, 41, Lenoir City,
was charged with driving under the influence and driving
without a license and held on $2,000 bond.
- Shane Yarhan Matlock, 33, Rockwood, was
charged with violation of community corrections and
released without bond.
- Travis Burton McCollum, 42, Lenoir City,
was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and
held without bond.
