Reorganization

The Loudon County Republican Party Reorganization Meeting will be held at the Loudon County Courthouse, Main Courtroom on February 25, 2017 and will begin at 9:00 a.m. A notice (as stated in the By-Laws) was published in the News Herald on January 18, 2017.

It was also decided at the meeting there would not be a formal nominating committee appointed. However, as discussed and then requested by the members present, an email would be sent to all members of the Executive Committee by the Secretary advising the following:

f an individual is interested in running for a LCRP Executive Committee Office, it is requested that you forward your name, address and the office you are seeking to me (the Secretary) no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 24, 2017. By doing this, we will be able to have all your voting information/record (as stated in the By-Laws) verified prior to the morning of the election of Officers and therefor the Election process will move along more quickly. Also, if you are interested in seeking an office and cannot be in attendance on the morning of the Election, IT IS REQUIRED (as stated in the By-Laws), that you send a letter/notice advising you are interested in running for a specific office and if elected to that office, you will accept.

The 5 Offices that will be elected are as follows:

Chairman / Vice Chairman / Secretary / Treasurer / Vice Treasurer

After these 5 Offices are elected, those individuals in attendance will break into the 7 Loudon County Districts and each District will elect an individual to represent them.

If you have email addresses/lists for other Republicans within Loudon County, please feel free to forward this to them so they will be informed as to what is occurring. There will not be any more notices published in the paper, but we will be posting a reminder on the Parties Face Book Page.
