The city may very well need a new city hall but at what cost? Estimates on the new city hall have run from 2-3 million to 6-7 million depending on who you talk to. In reality what the city has done, is to take more than a million and a half dollars of mostly commercial property off the tax rolls, not including the loss of sales tax from the businesses that were eliminated and replaced it with nothing for a long time.
