SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF A MINOR Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider announced the arrest of another subject in possession of child pornography. Upon receiving information through ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children), his department, along with the Blount County ICAC unit, and the Lenoir City Police Department, conducted an extensive investigation leading to the arrest of Steven Brian Lord, 701 North G Street, Lenoir City. Mr. Lord was arrested Friday, January 22, 2010. The Sheriff advised that information was gathered through members of the ICAC Task Force. Upon receiving information of child images, an IP (Internet Protocol) address on the images was traced and came back to the address of Mr. Lord. A search warrant was obtained and a search was conducted at the residence on Friday, January 22nd. Upon search of the residence, evidence of child pornography was found by the investigating agencies. After Mr. Lord was interviewed, he admitted to receiving child porn images on his computer. The computer and other evidence were taken from the residence. Preliminary reports from the forensic search of the computer show at least 1600 illegal images. Mr. Lord was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor (TCA Code 39-17-1003). Sheriff Guider noted that this is another ongoing case that involved the cooperation of three different agencies, resulting in an arrest. He would like to thank Blount County and the Lenoir City Police Department for the joint effort. He also thanks the District Attorney’s office, as the District Attorney must sign off on every child porn search warrant before it is presented to a judge for execution. ####### |
