Political Correctness Gone Stupid

Where in the constitution does it say that anybody has the inalienable right not to be offended? Who are these idiots that have nothing to gripe about but sport's teams names and who really gives a big rats tail if they feel offended? (See Story) Having Cherokee heritage myself, not only am I not "offended" by the use of Indian names for teams, but find it a point of pride. Teams chose names that project strength and power and other positive attributes. What could possibly be offensive about that?

I once heard a story that the name "Redskins" was chosen in honor of the Cherokee Chief, Pathkiller, who originally owned most of the land the city of Loudon now occupies. Don't know if that's true or not, but it makes since.

I hope our legislatures have the guts to stand up to this kind of stupidity and not give in to some fringe radical group with such asinine demands. Where does this kind of ignorance end? The next thing you know, PETA or some other goofy bunch will decide the use of animal names is offensive.

You sensitive people just need to get over it.                     Go Redskins !
