Police arrest pair for drugs, paraphernalia
 
While stopping the gray Ford F-250, police spoke with the driver, Brandon Jarrod McKinley, 32, Lenoir City, who agreed to a search of the truck, which was also occupied by Demetrios Constantine Kotronias, 23, Lenoir City, and Cody Chastain, according to the arrest report.
 
During the search, police found a silver canister containing a clear liquid substance that Kotronias said was methamphetamine, and Kotronias also retrieved a syringe from his left pocket, according to police.
 
Police also found a marijuana pipe and a syringe in a black duffle bag in back of the truck, according to the report. Chastain told police the items belonged to him, and a call into dispatch confirmed that Chastain had multiple warrants for his arrest out of Knox County.
 
Chastain was found with a small bag of methamphetamine and 15 small baggies in one of his pockets.
 
Officers also found a syringe, pill canister and a marijuana pipe in a separate duffle back in the truck, and McKinley told police that those items belonged to him, according to the report.
 
McKinley and Kotronias were transported to Loudon County Jail, while Chastain was released to authorities in Knox County.
 
McKinley was charged with theft of property, driving on a revoked/suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia and held on $9,000 bond.
Kotronias was charged with simple possession/casual exchange and possession of drug paraphernalia and released on $2,000 bond.
 
Man nabbed for synthetic pot
 
A Florida man was taken to Loudon County Jail on Friday after deputies responded to a call of a reckless driver along Interstate 75 North.
 
Dispatched to the area for a Freightliner that was reportedly swerving on the road, Loudon County Sheriff's Office Deputy Greg Malone stopped the truck about mile marker 75 and spoke with the driver, Michael Patrick Jett, 32, Sanford, Fla., who had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, according to the arrest report.
 
“Upon exiting the vehicle Mr. Jett was wearing a top hat and was unsteady on his feet,” according to a report filed by Deputy J.C. Schultz.
 
A search of Jett's vehicle uncovered 2 grams of a leafy substance in the driver's side door and two pipes with residue on them. Jett told deputies the substance was K-2 spice, a form of synthetic marijuana.
 
Jett was charged with driving under the influence and production/manufacture/distribution/possession of synthetic marijuana and held on $10,000 bond.

• Christopher Payne Bennett, 21, Lenoir City, was charged with simple possession/casual exchange, failure to appear on the manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule I substance and violation of probation on simple possession and held on $1,000 bond.
 
• Randy Joe Hall, 55, Hilton, Va., was charged with violation of parole and held without bond.
 
• Heather Yvonne Packett, 41, Loudon, was charged with failure to appear-municipal court and vandalism of utility lines/fixtures and released on $7,000 bond. Officers responded to a complaint from Loudon Utilities Board that a resident in the 800 block of Vale Street, Packett, had cut the locks off a utility power meter. According to the arrest report, LUB cut the power off at the residence a few days before the incident and placed locks on the meter because of nonpayment. Police found a hammer beside the broken locks in the grass and found that the meter had been placed back on the side of the home so residents could receive power without permission, according to the report.

• Gregory Delano Barger Jr., 21, Oak Ridge, was charged with prohibited weapons and held on $2,000 bond.
 
• Michael Steven Coffman, 28, Lenoir City, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license, resisting arrest and two counts failure to appear and released on $6,000 bond.
 
• Joseph Anthony Cole, 32, Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond.
 
• Temer Joe Cook, 37, Sweetwater, was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and released on $1,000 bond.
 
• Misty Devon Davis, 34, Lenoir City, was charged with theft of property and two counts of theft over $1,000 and released on $60,000 bond. Davis was taken into custody in the 300 block of West Hills Drive on two active warrants for theft.
 
• Jonah Ryan Jillson, 28, Loudon, was charged with burglary and theft of property and held on $20,000 bond. Investigating a possible burglary in the 800 block of Commerce Street in Loudon, police found a chainsaw hidden in a doghouse behind Jillson's trailer, and officers learned that the tool belonged to a man who lives in the 900 block of Carding Machine Road, according to the arrest report. Police also found two other chainsaws of different models in a black canvas bag at a nearby property. When he learned that the tools were missing, a man told police that a storage building beside his residence had been broken into. In addition to the chainsaws, a crossbow and other hand tools were reportedly missing. The stolen items were valued at $1,600.
 
• Gregory James Sage, 31, Oliver Springs, was charged with violation of probation and released without bond.
 
• Brent Allen Snyder, 33, Loudon, was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and failure to appear on driving on a revoked license and released on $7,000 bond.
 
• T.J. Wilkerson, 54, Lenoir City, was charged with theft of property and simple possession/casual exchange and released on $2,000 bond.

• Travis Matthew Allen, 34, Athens, was charged with two counts of failure to appear-municipal court and released on $4,000 bond.
 
• Marc Alan Aslinger, 27, Clinton, was charged with failure to appear on driving on a revoked license and released on $2,000 bond.
 
• Amy Marie Scarlett, 48, Lenoir City, was charged with theft under $500 and released without bond. Dispatched to a shoplifting complaint at a gas station along U.S. Highway 321, police spoke with an assistant manager, who said she saw Scarlett hide a cap and portable speaker in her purse and jacket and leave all points of sale at the store, according to the arrest report. The merchandise was valued at $39.98.
 
• Shawn Curtis Wilson, 27, Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation and released on $1,000 bond.

• Kayla Hope Abercrombie, 28, Lenoir City, was charged with contempt of court and held on $975 bond.
 
• Jodi Lea Branum, 28, Knoxville, was charged with contempt of court and held on $150 bond.
 
• William Michael Bright, 61, Lenoir City, was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and released on $4,000 bond.
 
• Jona Nicole Campbell, 39, Loudon, was charged with violation of probation on driving under the influence and held on $2,000 bond.
 
• David Paul Clifford, 34, Greenback, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $2,000 bond.
 
• Shanda June Coffey, 41, Knoxville, was charged with driving under the influence and violation of implied consent and released on $4,000 bond.
 
• Michael Kaleb Giles, 24, Loudon, was charged with driving under the influence, violation of implied consent and contraband in a penal institution and released on $6,000 bond.
 
• Daltone Bradley Major, 34, Loudon, was charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and released on $1,000 bond.
 
• Richard Wayne McCollum, 38, Lenoir City, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and released on $1,000 bond.
 
• Jeremy Wayne Patrick, 34, Kingston, was charged with contraband in a penal institution and manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule II substance and held without bond. Dispatched to a call of a shot fired in the 3500 block of Mountain View Road, police learned that a red Ford Mustang left a residence in the area and was traveling toward Lenoir City High School. Stopping the vehicle in the school parking lot, police placed Patrick under arrest on a warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals Service. During a search at Loudon County Jail, police found a plastic bag near Patrick's crotch containing two other, separate bags with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, according to the arrest report. The bags weighed about 82 grams.
 
• Richard Darren Queen, 44, Lenoir City, was charged with failure to appear on violation of probation and released on $4,000 bond.
 
• Gregory James Simon, 40, Virginia Beach, Va., was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a handgun while under the influence and simple possession/casual exchange and released on $12,000 bond.
 
• Nicholas David Zeller, 36, Lenoir City, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $1,000 bond.

• Brooke Ann Kiser, 24, Philadelphia, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and held on $1,000 bond.
 
• Cheyanna Anae Suddath, 23, Memphis, was charged with three counts of violation of probation and held without bond.
 
• Portia Lynn Williams, 34, Gastonia, N.C., was charged with manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule II substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of simple possession and failure to appear on violation of probation and held without bond.
Greenback man faces drug, paraphernalia charges
 
A Greenback man was taken to Loudon County Jail after police found the driver of a vehicle sleeping behind the wheel earlier this week at Peterson Road and East Coast Tellico Parkway.

Dispatched to a parking lot in reference to a suspicious person, Loudon County Sheriff's Office Deputy Robbie Lane spoke with Christopher Lee Rogers, 36, Greenback, who appeared to be “very nervous,” according to the arrest report.

During a search of the vehicle, police found a black glove that contained a glass pipe and a small plastic box, Lane wrote, noting that he found two green pills believed to be clonazepam 1 mg and four orange pills believed to be Adderall 30 mg. The box also had two small plastic bags with a white, crystal substance inside, which tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.
 

Rogers was charged with two counts of manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule II substance, manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule IV substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and released on $16,000 bond.

• Todd Ellis Elden, 39, Loudon, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and released on $1,000 bond.
 
• Daltone Bradley Major, 34, Loudon, was charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and released on $1,000 bond.
 
• Virgil Allen Russell, 53, Loudon, was charged with driving on a revoked license/suspended license and violation of probation on possession of a Schedule IV substance for resale and held on $2,000 bond.
 
• Coreene Cortnee Simmons, 39, Crossville, was charged with writing worthless checks and held on $10,000 bond.
 
• Richard Alan Wright, 61, Lenoir City, was charged with simple possession/casual exchange and driving on a revoked/suspended license and released on $2,000 bond. Spotting a red Dodge Ram traveling along Adesa Boulevard, LCSO Deputy Cody Fritts identified the driver as Wright, who was known to have an invalid license, according to the arrest report. Stopping the truck at Market Drive, Fritts asked Wright if he was in possession of any illegal items. Wright showed police two pills that were identified as Lyrica. The passenger, identified as Joshua Wright, retrieved a bottle from his rear pants pocket that contained oxycodone, according to the arrest report.
 
• Joshua Paul Wright, 36, Lenoir City, was charged with simple possession/casual exchange and released on $1,000 bond.

• Carrissa Dawn Burke, 36, Kingston, was charged with theft under $500 and held without bond.
 
• Steven Wayne Linkous, 43, Kingsport, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond.
 
• Donna Kay Seargeant, 53, Sweetwater, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond.
 
• Susan Fox Wilkerson, 51, Lenoir City, was charged with theft under $500 and released on $1,000 bond.
 
Dec. 9
 
• Bradley Ryan Cagle, 27, Sweetwater, was charged with driving under the influence and possession of a handgun while under the influence and released on $4,500 bond. While on patrol, LCSO Deputy Charlie Huskin saw two vehicles parked at a gas station along West Lee Highway and noticed that the driver of a white Ford F-150 had a black pistol in the driver's door panel in a holster, according to the arrest report. Huskin asked the drivers of the vehicle what they were doing, and they said they had just come from Buffalo Wild Wings, Huskin wrote. Cagle told deputies that he had four or five beers and a shot of liquor, while a female driver, Rebecca Jane Harrison, 24, Loudon, said she had a beer. Harrison was charged with driving under the influence and released on $1,000 bond. Cagle and Harrison performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
 
• Robbie Lee Covington, 27, Loudon, was charged with theft under $500 and contraband in a penal institution and held on $5,000 bond. Responding to a domestic call in the 100 block of Jackson Ferry Road, LCSO Deputy J.C. Schultz spoke with Covington, who had an active warrant for theft out of Lenoir City. During the arrest and transportation to Loudon County Justice Center, Schultz told Covington that he should tell police if he had anything illegal before getting checked in at the jail. “Mr. Covington advised on both occasions that he did not have any contraband on his person,” Schultz wrote. Police found a 2 gram baggie containing a white, crystal powder that tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the arrest report. Police also found a 4 gram baggie containing a substance believe to be meth in the patrol car seat where Covington was sitting, according to the report. “This deputy did search the back seat area of his vehicle before Mr. Covington was placed inside,” Schultz wrote.
 
• James Dean Hunter, 27, Weaverville, N.C., was charged with public intoxication and released on $2,000 bond.
 
• Justin Wyatt Kersey, 23, Lenoir City, was charged with domestic assault-misdemeanor and held on $1,000 bond. Responding to a call of a domestic dispute in the 200 block of Jessie Lane, LCSO Deputy Craig Brewer spoke with a woman, who said she went upstairs with an 8-month-old child to get away from an argument, according to the arrest report. The woman told deputies that Kersey went upstairs and broke the door leading to a bedroom, according to the report. Kersey grabbed the child out of the woman's arms and was yelling at her, Brewer wrote.
 
• Timothy Lee McCauley, 35, Philadelphia, was charged with public intoxication and released on $2,000 bond.
 
• Haley Renee Parris, 19, Cleveland, was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and released without bond.
 
• Clarence Adam Partin, 36, Lenoir City, was charged with failure to appear on driving on a revoked license, aggravated assault and domestic assault-felony and released on $11,000 bond.
