Pick Tennessee encourages families to buy locally
grown Christmas trees
KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Every year millions of families shop for and buy
a “real” cut Christmas trees.
According to the National Christmas Tree Association (NCTA), 56 million trees are planted each year for future Christmases and 30 to 35 million families will shop and buy a “real” Christmas tree this year. Finding your perfect Christmas tree can be a challenge, but Pick Tennessee Products says buying a Tennessee-grown Christmas tree helps to ensure that the tree no only has a lower environmental impact, but it’s better for the Christmas tree. Pick Tennessee Products says trees that were grown locally reduce carbon footprints, because they don’t have to be shipped across the country and will also be fresher and in a better condition then a tree that had to be transported and stored. They have a list of Tennessee grown Christmas trees on their website. East Tennessee Christmas Tree FarmsAnderson County Bluebird Farm, 985 Brushy Valley Road, Heiskell, TN, 37754 Blount County
