Philly man charged with statutory rape

A Philadelphia man is facing two aggravated statutory rape charges.

After receiving information from an unknown source, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Inv. Sgt. Jeff Russell began a sexual assault investigation Feb. 8 involving a 29-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl.

Russell talked with the girl, who said Jose C. Aguilar placed fingers inside her on two separate occasions last year. The first time occurred in August when the girl was alone with Aguilar.

“The second time was closer to the month of November 2016 early in the morning around 3 a.m. and he came into where she was sleeping and pulled back the blanket and started rubbing her leg and then placed his finger under her pants ...,” Russell wrote in his report.

Aguilar admitted to the encounters with the teenager, according to Russell’s report.
