Philadelphia woman nabbed for drugs

A Philadelphia woman was taken into custody over the weekend after initially getting stopped for an outstanding warrant.

Spotting a white Dodge Neon traveling along Christian Street, Loudon County Sheriff's Office Deputy Cody Fritts identified the driver as Jessica Lynn Bahr, 33, Philadelphia, who was known to have an active warrant for driving on a revoked license, according to the arrest report.

Bahr, who was pulled over at the intersection of Christian and Thompson streets, was taken into custody and asked if she had any illegal items in her possession. Bahr told deputies that she had hydrocodone in her purse, according to the report.

Fritts said a search revealed one hydrocodone pill and a Suboxone strip in the woman's purse, and deputies also found two syringes in her makeup bag.
Bahr was charged with two counts of simple possession/casual exchange, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked/suspended license and failure to appear-general sessions and held without bond.

Inmate charged with assault

An inmate at Loudon County Jail, who has been housed since August on previous charges, is facing additional counts after allegedly striking another inmate.
Responding to a request for assistance in block C at the jail, LCSO Deputy Eric Curtis spoke with an inmate, who said he was being threatened and assaulted and wanted to be moved to another location, according to the arrest report.

“He stated that he had already been assaulted, but would not state who had assaulted him,” Curtis wrote in the report, noting that the inmate had a “small amount of swelling” on his right eye.

Cpl. Pam Snow arrived at the cell and spoke with the inmate, who again told officers that he wanted to be relocated.

Snow told the inmate “he would not be moved from C Block, but if there was a problem the cells could be rearranged. After Cpl. Snow stated this, (the inmate) then replied, 'I'm gonna kill myself if I stay back here',” Curtis wrote, noting that the inmate was removed due to “facility policy.”

As Curtis stepped into the block to remove the victim, he saw the second inmate, Arless Morgan, 36, Loudon, “stand up and strike” the other man in the face, according to the report.

Morgan was detained and moved out of the block. He was charged with assault and is being held for $6,436 bond on two previous counts of contempt of court. He also has a public intoxication charge.
